Who I Can Help

contemplative-solitude-depression

People come to see me for many different reasons. You might have a clear sense of what’s wrong, or you might just know that something isn’t right, that you keep ending up in the same painful place, or that you’ve never quite felt at ease with yourself or with others.

You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from CAT. What matters more is a willingness to explore, and a readiness to work towards something different.

Below are some of the presentations I commonly work with. If you’re unsure whether CAT is right for you, please do get in touch, I’m happy to have an informal conversation about what you are struggling with.

I can help if you’re struggling with...

  • Depression or low mood

  • Anxiety, worry or panic

  • Difficult or painful relationships – at home, at work or within yourself

  • A sense that you keep repeating the same patterns

  • Low self-esteem, shame or self-criticism

  • Trauma or experiences from the past that still affect you today

  • Emotional dysregulation or feelings that feel overwhelming

  • Personality difficulties, including a diagnosis of EUPD

  • Body image and eating difficulties or disorders

  • Self-harm or difficulty managing distress

  • Bereavement

  • Neurodivergence

Not sure if this is right for you?

That’s completely fine. I offer a free initial telephone conversation so we can discuss what you’re looking for and whether CAT, and working with me specifically, feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure to commit.

Your Story

Perhaps you recognise something here.

Perhaps you feel like there's nothing left that makes life feel worthwhile – like you're going through the motions, waiting for a change that never quite comes.

Perhaps you simply don't understand other people, and more importantly, they don't get you at all – you've spent years feeling like you're speaking a different language to everyone around you.

Perhaps you find yourself in the same kind of relationship, over and over, wondering why you keep ending up hurt, unheard, or alone.

Perhaps something happened to you once – or over a long period – that you've never quite been able to put down, however hard you've tried to move on.

Perhaps you're exhausted by holding everything together for everyone else, and can't remember the last time someone asked how you were doing.

Perhaps you look fine from the outside, but inside you feel like you're constantly bracing for the next thing to go wrong.

Perhaps you've learned to disappear a little – to take up less space, want less, need less – because that felt safer than being seen.

Perhaps you've tried to explain how you feel before, and it came out wrong, or nobody quite understood, so you stopped trying.

If any of this sounds familiar, you don't have to carry it alone, and you don't have to have the right words yet. That's what our work together is for.
